CONSULTANT PROFILE
Following graduation from a leading university, Stephen trained as a chartered accountant before entering the executive recruitment industry. After an early career in specialist financial recruitment he joined the management consultancy arm of a leading international management consultancy practice and was part of a team that subsequently moved to a client, a full service human resources plc. He founded Allander Noble in 1997 and in 2012 became the UK member of ISG.

Stephen specialises in the Pharmaceutical, bio-science and health sectors. With projects including, recruitment, salary benchmarking, talent mapping and team assessment.

Example projects include:

  • Helping to recruit the senior management team for a bio-science business that came out of the research facilities of London University and over 10 years grew to become a PLC.
  • Recruiting a new finance team to help turn around a failing pharmaceutical wholesaler.
  • The recruitment of a Finance Director for a European pharmaceutical manufacturer.
  • The recruitment of a Head of Business Development Analysis for a global health products business


He is a qualified psychometric assessor and is able to bring a range of assessment techniques, including some elements of NLP, to support search assignments.

Stephen is a member of The Institute of Management Consultants and a Fellow of The Institute of Directors and firmly believes that successful recruitment needs an understanding of both technical skills and team culture. This approach has led to many long term relationships with clients – some lasting for more than 15 years.
